AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of Houston Men's Golf program finished 10^th with a score of even-par 864 at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Forest Hills Golf Club.

The Cougars posted a score of 290 in Sunday's Final Round on the 7,005-yard, par-72 course.

Senior Matt Williams tied for 16^th overall with a score of 3-under 213. Sophomore Alexander Frances tied for 33^rd at 216 after shooting the team's low round of the day with a 71 Sunday.

Freshman Braxton Williams tied for 37^th at 217, while junior Logan Young tied for 42^nd at 219. Sophomore Andrew Gibson tied for 68^th at 230.

No. 3 Wake Forest captured the team championship with a score of 828 to finish three shots ahead of No. 19 South Carolina. No. 7 Texas finished third at 834 with No. 37 Arkansas (845), Notre Dame (853), Augusta (855), No. 23 Illinois (858), Mercer (861) and UCF (862) rounding out the Top-10 leaders.

Wake Forest's Cameron Young earned medalist honors with a score of 19-under 197 to finish seven strokes ahead of South Carolina's Jamie Wilson, Arkansas' Tyson Reeder finished third at 208.

UP NEXT
Following the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, the Cougars close out their regular season when they play host to the Bayou City Intercollegiate at Golf Crest Country Club in Pearland, Texas on April 15-16.

From there, Houston enters the postseason when it tees off at the American Athletic Conference Championships on April 21-23 on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla.
