The University of Houston Department of Athletics is committed to maintaining an academic and athletic environment that is free from discrimination and harassment of any kind including, but not limited to, discrimination and harassment on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.   The Department of Athletics does not have a separate policy related to the treatment of transgender athletes, but instead, follows the UH System Polices regarding avoiding discrimination and harassment. The UH System Discrimination and Harassment Policy can be found here.
