MADISON, Miss. - First, the rain shortened the Reunion Intercollegiate... Then it halted the First Round.
About 12 holes into Monday's First Round, the seventh-ranked University of Houston Men's Golf program was forced to stop play due to wet weather at the Reunion Intercollegiate on the 7,416-yard, par-72 course at Reunion Golf and Country Club.
Monday's First Round was delayed in the morning and pushed back to a noon start. Officials then made the decision to shorten the tournament to only 36 holes. The Cougars and their competition will finish the First Round on Tuesday morning before starting their second and final round.
