Houston's Men's Golf Team Opens 2007 Spring Schedule

Houston - The University of Houston men's golf team will split into an A and B team this weekend when the Cougars open their 2007 spring schedule. Houston's "B" team will compete at the Rice Intercollegiate Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 17-18.
The Cougars will be competing against teams from Rice (Both Blue and Gray teams), Belmont College, Cal-Poly, College of Charleston, College of William and Mary, Louisiana Tech, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin State University, Pacific, Richmond, Texas-Pan American and Wyoming.
The Rice Intercollegiate Tournament will be played on the par 72, 7,184-yard Westwood Golf Course in Houston.
Houston's "A" team will compete the GADO North Texas Classic on Sunday, Feb. 18-Monday, Feb. 19 on the El Palomar Country Club in Guadalajara, Mexico. The par 72 course is 6,900 yards.
Houston will compete against teams from the host school, University of North Texas, Arkansas-Little Rock, Cal-State Northridge, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Louisiana Lafayette, Middle Tennessee State, and Missouri-Kansas City.
