KONA, Hawaii - The University of Houston golf team enjoyed its best opening round of the season Wednesday during first-day competition at the Waikoloa Intercollegiate in Kona, Hawaii.

After shooting 38 on the first nine holes, Wine rebounded with an impressive 32 on the final nine to set a new career best round at 70.
