2017-18 (RS Freshman)
Indoor: Threw the shot put in five meets for the Cougars during the regular season...Set a personal best with a throw of 14.25m (46-9.0) at the Charlie Thomas Invitational...Made his collegiate debut with an eighth place finish at the Reveille Invitational with a mark of 14.20m (46-7.25).
Outdoor: Competed in two meets for Houston during the outdoor season…Set a personal-best of 48-6.25 (14.79m) in his debut with a fourth-place finish at the Cougar Spring Break Invitational.
2016-17 (Freshman)
Did not compete during the 2016-17 season due to an injury.
HIGH SCHOOL
Finished as one of the top-20 shot put throwers in the Rio Grande Valley history while competing for Harlingen High School…Also competed in football at the high school level.

Son of Dawn Rodriguez and Jack Barnes…Enjoys hunting, fishing and weightlifting in his spare time…Majoring in Kinesiology-Sports Administration…Aspires to be a track or football coach after his track & field career.
