Coogs to play 18 holes each day through Tuesday; Three Cougars to compete as individuals at HCU’s Colin Montgomerie Invitational
LOS CABOS, Mexico & SUGAR LAND, Texas – The University of Houston Men's Golf program continues its spring schedule with a pair of tournaments this week, beginning with the First Round of the Cabo Collegiate on Sunday morning.Schools will play 18 holes each day through Tuesday beginning with a 9:30 a.m. (CST) shotgun start on the par-71 course at Twin Dolphin Club.
In addition to the Cabo Collegiate, freshman Jayk Altic, senior Bryant Hiskey II and junior Enrique Karg will tee off as individuals at HCU's Colin Montgomerie Invitational at Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas, on Monday morning.
That Cougar trio will play 36 holes Monday with the Final Round beginning Tuesday morning.

ABOUT the COUGARS
For the Cabo Collegiate, the Cougars will be represented by senior Hudson Weibel, junior Grant Doggett, junior Chi Chun Chen, senior Kevin An and sophomore Hsuan-Yi Chen
This season, Weibel leads the Cougars with a 69.33 scoring average with all but one of his 15 total rounds this season being played at or under par. The Dallas native has won three tournaments this season, becoming the first Cougar since Roman Robledo during the 2013-14 season to win 3+ individual titles in a year.
He was named the Big 12 Conference Golfer of the Month in October 2025 and was named the league's Golfer of the Week on February 19.Weibel is one of three Cougars to win five tournament crowns this year, joining Hiskey and Doggett.
Doggett stands second among the Cougars with a 70.80 average and is tied with Chi Chun Chen and Hsuan-Yi Chen for second on the team with eight rounds of par or lower.
Chi Chun Chen ranks third on the team with a 71.40 average.
TEAM FIELD
For the Cabo Collegiate, the Cougars will face Arizona State, UC Santa Barbara, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, Rice, Stanford, California, Vanderbilt, Loyola (Md.), Arizona, Tennessee, Florida State, Arkansas and Georgia Tech.
The Cougars at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational will compete against student-athletes New Orleans, North Dakota, Weber State, UIW, Central Michigan Missouri State, Rice, Howard, Southeastern Louisiana, Nicholls, Prairie View A&M, Midland College, East Texas A&M, Texas Southern and host Houston Christian.
TEE TIMES
For Sunday's Cabo Collegiate action, the Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Stanford beginning at 9:30 a.m. (CST).
Weible begins the day in the first group off No. 10 with Doggett (second group off No. 10), Chi Chun Chen (No. 11), An (No. 12) and Hsuan-Yi Chen (No. 13) following.

UP NEXT
Following the Cabo Collegiate and the Colin Montgomerie Invitational, Houston returns home to play host to its own All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, on March 16-17.
The Cougars will face Rice, Abilene Christian, Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, HCU, Lamar, Nebraska, North Texas, Odessa College, Sam Houston, Tarleton State, ULM, UT Arlington, UT Rio Grande Valley and individuals from LSU.
From there, Houston will play host to the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National Golf Club on March 23-24.
