Eight Cougars will participate at the USA Swimming sponsored event

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Eight members of the University of Houston Swimming & Diving team will participate at this week's TYR Pro Series event in San Antonio, Texas, at the Northside Swim Center.

Freshman Evelyn Entrekin, sophomore Liya Goupil, freshman Nora Hetyei, freshman Elizabeth Jimenez, junior Adelaide Meuter, sophomore Alondra Ortiz, sophomore Virag Peter and senior Danielle Titus will represent the Cougars at the meet.

The competition marks the last TYR Pro Series prior to the US Olympic Trials and features major names in swimming, including 10-time Olympic medalist Katie Ledecky.

Fans can watch the event via the USA Swimming Network, a streaming service run by USA Swimming. Linear broadcasts also will be available on Peacock, CNBC and NBC.

200-meter breaststroke (Entrekin, Peter)
200-meter individual medley (Hetyei, Ortiz)
50-meter freestyle (Goupil)
