Cougars take on Bulls in battle of top two teams
HOUSTON – The University of Houston will make the return trip to face No. 24/21 South Florida on Sunday on ESPN2 in Tampa, Fla. at 1 p.m. CT. The Bulls currently lead the American Athletic Conference with the Cougars tied for second.

THE GAME
- Houston is on national television for the second time in three games.
- The Cougars are playing on Super Bowl Sunday for the first time since 2012, a loss at Tulsa, Feb. 5, 2012 67-53. The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI (46).
- Houston is looking to beat South Florida in Tampa for the first time since 2019.
LAST TIME OUT
- Houston's won its third-straight conference game for the second time this season when it defeated Temple on Saturday 65-60.
- Laila Blair scored a season-high 25 points with a season-high five three-pointers against Temple.
- Tatyana Hill recorded her fifth double-double of the season and the ## of her career (10pts, 15reb).
- Hill wrangled in 15 rebounds for the second time this season.
- Houston won its first game of the year when trailing at halftime. Previously were 0-9 when trailing after 20 minutes.

- Blair was a unanimous Preseason All-Conference First Team selection by The American coaches.
- The Cougars were picked to finish second in the league and received two first place votes in the Coaches Poll.
