Women’s Basketball to Host Women Who Win Leadership and Networking Event

Networking event set for October 13 inside Fertitta Center
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball Head Coach Matthew Mitchell announced the program's inaugural Women Who Win, a Leadership and Networking event, scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Fertitta Center.
Connect with Houston's leading women in business through an evening of networking, inspiration and impactful conversations. Hear from an exclusive panel of accomplished female executives and entrepreneurs in marketing, social media, business leadership and more.
Corporate partners can also feature their business with a vendor table during the event. Interested organizations may apply for a vendor table as part of their event participation. Corporate Table Spotlight - $5,000
The roster combines a talented mix of freshmen, transfers and returners, led by junior forward Justice Carlton, a former McDonald's All-American and the No. 12 player in the Class of 2024.
The group also includes sophomore guard Janiyah Williams, the No. 53 player in the Class of 2025; junior guard Kaelyn Hamilton, the 2025-26 Mountain West Sixth Player of the Year; sophomore center Elodie Lutbert, an All-WAC Freshman and Defensive Team selection; junior guard Esmeralda Enriquez, the 2026 NJCAA D1 Player of the Year; and senior guard Raegan McCowan, a two-time All-OVC First Team honoree.
The incoming freshman class is highlighted by forward Madison Carlton, a four-star recruit and the No. 91 player in the Class of 2026; guard Alyvia McCorkle, Iowa Girls All-State Basketball Class 5A First Team honoree; forward Tamia King, District 26-6A's Most Valuable Player; and Marta Llompart, a true point guard who led Spain to win the 2026 FIBA U18 Eurobasket tournament.
The Cougars return three players from the 2025-26 roster: senior forward Jorynn Ross, sophomore guard Kayla King and redshirt freshman forward Jemma Hunter.

Season tickets for the 2026-27 Houston Women's Basketball campaign are on sale now. To purchase, click here or contact the University of Houston Ticket Office during regular business office hours at 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647).
Seating inside the Fertitta Center for all Houston Women's Basketball games will be reserved starting at $100. Season ticket holders can also add a season-long parking pass inside the Stadium Garage for $75.
Fans who opt for floor, loge and club seats will have access to amenities in the Sideline Club such as complimentary popcorn and soft drinks. A concession stand and cash bar will also be located for fans in the Sideline Club.
