Houston Tees Off at Cabo Collegiate on Monday

Three-day, 54-hole event will be held at TPC San Antonio for first time in tournament history
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Houston Men's Golf program continues its spring season when it tees off at the Cabo Collegiate on the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio.
The two-day, 54-hole event begins with 36 holes starting with an 8 a.m., split-tee start Monday and continues with the final 18 holes on Tuesday morning.
This will be the first time the tournament has been played at TPC San Antonio in its 11-year history.

TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will be part of a 16-team field, which includes Abilene Christian, Arizona State, Arizona, Baylor, California, Florida State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Rice, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, UTSA, Texas Tech and host Arkansas.

THE LINEUP
Under the direction of Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke, the Cougars will be represented by seniors Alexander Frances, Andrew Gibson and Matt Cole, junior Braxton Watkins and sophomore Austyn Reily.
Freshman Hanseung Chang will make his collegiate debut and compete as an individual.
This season, Frances leads the Cougars with a 71.60 scoring average and is tied with Reily for the team lead with three rounds of par or better. In Houston's last tournament, the Stege, Denmark, native posted 70s in the First and Final Rounds on the way to a fifth-place finish at the Border Olympics on Feb. 22-23 in Laredo, Texas.

UP NEXT
Following the Cabo Collegiate, the Cougars will send individuals to compete at the HBU Colin Montgomerie Invitational on March 8-9 at Augusta Pines Golf Club in Spring.
Fans should note that the HBU Colin Montgomerie Invitational was a recent addition to the Cougars' schedule.
From there, Houston will play host to one of the nation's premier collegiate tournaments in the Valspar Collegiate Invitational. This elite event will be held March 15-16 at Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.
JOIN PROJECT 17
Fans are invited to join Project 17 to support Houston Women's Golf. Project members provide financial support directly to Houston Men's Golf for needs beyond the program's operating budget.
