UH returns to action on Monday against Tarleton State
The Cougars (2-3) jumped out to an early lead against the Sooners (6-0) in game one before OU rallied to win 12-4 in six innings. Redshirt senior infielder Sarah Queen drilled a three-run home run in the bottom of the first to put UH in front, but the Sooners responded with five runs in the top of the second and never looked back from there.
UH rallied in game two to grab a 2-1 lead in the third inning but the Sooners used a three-run fifth inning to re-take the lead. The Cougars put the tying and go-ahead run on base in the bottom of the sixth, but could not plate those runs to end a late rally.
