Bio
FRESHMAN (2021)
Made 12 appearances in the circle, having started in eight contests … Began her collegiate debut tossing the program’s 20th no-hitter, surrendering just one walk in the win over Texas Southern (Feb. 13) … Became the first Houston pitcher since 2018 to be named The American Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 15) … Earned the win over Sam Houston State (Feb. 24), tying a career-high four strikeouts in her nearly six innings of work … Made her first start against a top-25 team when Houston faced No. 7/7 Texas (March 3).
VESELY ON HUDSON
Hailey was a late addition to the class and a much-needed piece to the puzzle. She is more of a traditional power pitcher and has the ability to be dominant in the circle. She has competed at the highest levels and been successful with the help of her confident demeanor. We expect Hailey to be able to hit for herself and possibly be an everyday starter, offensively.
HIGH SCHOOL
Led College Station HS to back-to-back Region III semifinal appearances from 2018-19, having posted two 30-win seasons during that stretch … Awarded District MVP in back-to-back years from 2017-18 … Named to the 2019 TGCA All-State team … Earned a spot on the TSWA All-State team in 2018 and 2019 … Finished her freshman campaign with a 20-3 record with a 1.27 ERA and 200 strikeouts, having posted a .416 batting average in the process … Ended her 2018 season with a record of 26-4 and striking out 241 batters to match a 1.11 ERA … Recorded a .480 batting average to go along with 11 home runs and 44 RBIs in that same 2018 season … Capped off her 2019 season one win shy of the 30-win mark with her 29-5 record, where she posted a miniscule ERA of 1.02.
PERSONAL
