CANNED FOOD DRIVE
Fans can donate an un-perishable canned food items at the door to the game on Saturday and receive a voucher for a $4 general admission ticket. Each item is good for one voucher and the voucher can only be used for the game against New Mexico.
SCOUTING the LOBOS
The Lobos are off to a 3-0 start this season. Antonia Anderson, Shaiquel McGruder, and Vianè Cumber, have been New Mexico's leading scorers in games thus far. The scoring has also been balanced for the Lobos, with four finishing in double figures in each of the three games. LaTora Duff has 26 assists, with one double-double and nearly having another in the season opener. McGruder leads the team in both points and steals, while Anderson leads the team in rebounds and is tied for the team high in blocked shots On the national level, Duff leads the NCAA in assist/turnover ratio, is fifth in total assists and sixth in assists per game, with McGurder 13th in field-goal percentage and 18th in field-goals made
POST SEASON PLAY
In the 2020-21 season was the third-straight season the Cougars made a post-season appearance in the NIT. After finishing the regular season with a 15-6 overall record and a third place finish in conference, the Houston women's basketball headed to the NIT finishing with a 1-1 record.
FAMILIAR FACES
The women's basketball team, returns six starting players, including leading score, sophomore Lalia Blair. Other starters suiting up for the Cougars for another season include Dymond Gladney, Britney Onyeje, Julia Blackshell-Fair and Jazmaine Lewis.
75 YEARS of HOUSTON ATHLETICS
During the 2021-22 season, Houston Athletics will celebrate its 75th anniversary by recognizing its championship tradition, award-winning student-athletes and coaches and memorable moments from its rich history.
As part of this year's celebration, the Fertitta Center will be decorated with the school's 75th anniversary logo.
