Cougars meet Cardinals for fourth time in history
SAN ANTONIO – The Houston Cougar Women's Basketball team wraps up a 2-game road trip with a matchup at Incarnate Word, Friday. Tipoff is set for 11:30 a.m., inside the McDermott Center.

Series vs. UIW – Houston holds a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series, with all three games coming in the Ronald Hughey era. Houston won the most recent contest, 98-67 last season.
American Honor – Sophomore forward Alyssa Okoene was honored as The American Athletic Conference's Player of the Week after averaging 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the season's opening week.
That's Ours – Houston set a school record with 41 turnovers forced in the win over Georgia Tech and now leads the American Athletic Conference with 27.0 turnovers forced per game and 37 steals.
Taking Care of It – On top of forcing turnovers, Houston has also been able to take care of the ball on the other end. The Cougars hold a 14.5 turnover margin advantage which paces play in The American.
High Scoring – Houston holds a distinct advantage over UIW in terms of scoring entering the contest. In three games, Houston is averaging 87.3 points per game, while UIW sits at just 49.7.

Friday's meeting will be the fourth all-time in the series, each of which coming in the Ronald Hughey era. Houston holds a 2-1 record in the series.

UIW is averaging just 49.7 points per game on 28.4 percent shooting from the field while allowing opponents to score 83.7 points per game on 47.4 percent from the floor.
On the glass this season, the Cardinals get outrebounded by an average of 13.4 rebounds per game at 46.7-33.3. Freshman Star Omozee has been key for Incarnate Word on the glass in 2018-19, pulling down 7.3 rebounds per night.
