Outdoor: Threw the discus in seven meets for Houston during the 2018 outdoor season…Set her personal best with a 13th-place finish at The American Outdoor Championships at 145-11 (44.48m)…Won he discus in the final home meet of the season, throwing 143-6 (43.75m) at the Tom Tellez Invitational…Finished the season with six top-10 finishes in the discus.
2016-17 (Freshman)
Did not compete for the Cougars during the 2016-17 season.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was the UIL and TAAF State Champion in the discus at Orange Grove High School...Won gold at the Meet of Champions in the discus…Owns the shot put (38’) and discus (147’11”) school records while competing for the Bulldogs.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Roy and Renee Chapa…Has one brother, John…Was a member of FCCLA, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society in high school…Majoring in business and want to own her ow business…enjoys horseback riding and water sports in her spare time.
