SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Houston Tennis team concludes its regular season with a trip to the Beehive state to face Utah at 4 p.m. CT, Thursday at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center.
Houston concludes regular season action in Provo, Utah, at noon CT, Saturday against BYU at the Outdoor Tennis Courts.

ABOUT THE COUGARS
Houston is 4-13 on the season with a 1-10 record in Big 12 play. Sophomore Valeriia Krokhotina leads the Cougars with seven singles wins including four in her last five outings. Juniors Sophie Schouten and Gabriela Cortes own four doubles victories to lead Houston.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
Utah
The Utes are 7-13 on the season with a 2-9 mark in Big 12 Conference action.
Kaila Barksdale has 11 wins in singles action including nine on court three to lead Utah. Emma Kamper owns nine wins of her own on court one.
Emma Valletta and Sara Akid have compiled eight doubles wins with five of them coming on court one.
Houston and Utah meet for the fifth time and the first as conference foes. The Cougars lost the last meeting, 7-0, in Salt Lake City (March 23, 2017).
BYU
BYU is 16-8 on the season, and 6-5 in Big 12 play. The Cougars boast five players with double digit singles victories led by Bobo Huang's 17-2 record.
Grace Levelston and Elizabeth Tullis own a 12-3 doubles record to pace BYU.
Houston has never beaten BYU as the blue Cougs have taken the four prior meetings including last year's match up in Houston, 4-0 (March 2, 2024).

Houston dropped its lone match of the week at #17 UCF, 4-0.
After dropping the doubles point, the Cougars kept things close to open singles action before the Knights pulled away taking courts two, three and four to secure their league leading 18th win.
