Cougars visit Red Raiders at 1 p.m., Friday, and Buffaloes at 3 p.m.CT, Sunday
LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Houston Tennis team travels to face #14 Texas Tech at 1 p.m., Friday at the McLeod Tennis Center.
The Cougars (3-9, 0-6 Big 12) will conclude weekend action against Colorado at 3 p.m., CT, Sunday, from the South Campus Tennis Courts in Boulder, Colo.

ABOUT THE COUGARS
Three Cougars have tallied four singles victories on the season, including junior Sophie Schouten who has won her last two matches. Sophomore Valeriia Krokhotina and fifth-year Santa Strombacha have four wins in singles action.
Schouten and junior partner Gabriela Cortes own four doubles victories to lead Houston.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
Texas Tech
Texas Tech has an overall record of 12-2 and 5-1 mark in conference play. Kate Dmitrichenko has 10 singles victories behind a 9-1 record on court three.
Mariia Hlahola and Avelia Sayfetdinova tallied nine doubles victories on court one to pace the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech owns a 5-2 record in the series against the Cougars and have won the last four meetings. The Cougars last win against the Red Raiders was a 5-2 victory in Houston (April 5, 2003).
Colorado
Colorado enters the weekend 6-8 on the season and 0-6 in Big 12 play. Mila Stanojevic and Betina Tokac lead the Buffs with seven singles victories.

Houston owns a 3-2-1 record against the Buffaloes with the Cougars taking the most recent meeting, 4-3, in Houston (Feb. 7, 2020). The Cougars have never played Colorado in Colorado in a spring match.
LAST TIME OUT
Houston fell 4-2 to #52 Iowa State on Sunday. The Cyclones claimed the doubles point before Schouten tied the match with a 6-0, 6-3 victory on court five. Houston gained a lead as Krokhotina defeated her opponent with a pair of 6-3 sets.
Iowa State tied the match on court two as sophomore Iva Sepa dropped a hard fought first set, 7-6 (11-9) before falling, 6-2 in the second.
The Cyclones needed a deciding set for the final two points of the match. Sophomore Heta Nuutinen fell on court three, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, and Strombacha dropped her match on court one, 4-6, 7-5, 6-1.
