BOULDER, Colo. – The University of Houston Women's Basketball program is back on the road as it faces Colorado at 7 p.m., Saturday, inside CU Events Center.

THE GAME
- Houston and Colorado meet for the third time in series history and the first time as Big 12 foes.
- The Cougars and Buffaloes split the all-time series, 1-1.
- Houston looks to pick up its first league victory this season and first since a 65-57 win at Oklahoma State (Feb. 17, 2024).
- Houston is 1-14 in Big 12 road games since joining the league last season.
- Saturday marks the first meeting since the 2001-02 season in Boulder, Colo., as Colorado enjoyed an 88- 58 victory (Nov. 24, 2001).
- The Cougars picked up their lone victory, 79-78, against the Buffaloes on Dec. 4, 1987.
- Houston Women's Basketball program fell to #18/18 West Virginia, 79-51, on Saturday inside Fertitta Center.
- The Cougars were led in scoring by redshirt sophomore guard Gigi Cooke with nine points and four assists as Houston dropped its seventh-straight game this season. Graduate guard Laila Blair posted 10 points and dished out five assists for her 17th game this season with 10 or more points.
- The Cougars return six players from the 2023-24 roster: Kierra Merchant, Gigi Cooke, Avalon Miller, Maliyah Johnson, Peyton McFarland and All-Big 12 Conference Honorable Mention, Laila Blair.
- With 121 career starts, Blair needs one start to surpass Porsche Landry's 121 starts for most games started in program history.
- On Jan. 22, Blair became Houston's record holder for 3-pointers made. She now has 241 career 3-pointers and is also No. 1 for most minutes played in program history at 4,136 minutes.
- On Jan. 11, Blair moved up to third on Houston's all-time scoring list. She has 1,875 career points and needs 83 points to move into second to surpass Sharion Higgins' 1,957 points.
- Avalon Miller (Achilles), Maliyah Johnson (ACL) and Kateri Poole (ACL) are out for the season.
- Guard Leilani Augmon suffered a broken nose against Baylor (Jan. 17). The guard had surgery on Jan. 27 and is expected to return mid-to-late February.
- Guard Ashley Chevalier is out indefinitely due to personal reasons.
