Cougars set to compete in three regular season meets in Texas
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Cross Country program announced the 2024 season schedule highlighted by three regular season meets and three postseason meets on Friday.
Houston will compete in the Lone Star State for the entirety of its regular season meet schedule as it opens the season at the UIW Twilight on Aug. 30, in San Antonio, Texas.
The next pair of meets will be at Texas A&M with a month break in between. The Cougars will first compete at the Texas A&M Invitational on Sept. 13, followed by Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 18, in College Station, Texas.
Houston will open the postseason portion of the schedule on Nov. 1 when the squad heads to Waco, Texas, for the Big 12 Cross Country Championship. The Cougars will return to College Station, Texas, for the NCAA South Central Regional Championship on Nov. 15, followed by the NCAA Championship on Nov. 23 in Madison, Wis.
The 2024 roster includes eight returners on the men's side and four on the women's side. 24 newcomers are set to make their Cougar debut in the fall.
