
Cross Country Squads Place Fourth at Texas A&M Invitational

Cougars take fourth in men’s 8k and women’s 5k
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Houston men's and women's cross country squads placed fourth on Saturday at the Texas A&M Invitational at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The men earned fourth place in the 8k with freshman Zac Miller, junior Patrick Flowers, sophomore Caden Thurman, junior Aaron Crittenden and sophomore Zade Kayyali as the five scorers for the Cougars.
For a second consecutive meet, Miller was the first Cougar to cross the finish line and sixth overall finisher in 23:56.3. Flowers recorded a personal best time of 24:43.2 for 24th place, immediately followed by Thurman in 25th place at 24:43.8
Crittenden was the fourth Cougar to finish the race at 24:56.2 for 34th place and Kayyali secured the final points of the morning with a 47th place finish at 25:18.7.
The women's squad concluded the meet placing fourth overall in the 5k. Redshirt freshman Addison Hite, sophomore Cadence Patterson, sophomore Lily Campos, freshman Olivia Brillhart and sophomore AnnClaire Cop were the top-five finishers for Houston.
Hite led the Cougars to a fourth-place team finish with her time of 17:46.3 to place 15th overall while Patterson followed in 16th with a personal best 15:51.0.
Campos finished the race with a personal best 18:15.7 for 28th and Brillhart crossed the finish line in 18:21.0 to place 30th. Cop was the final Cougar to score with a 36th place finish and a personal best time of 18:30.7
