Cougars and Knights meet for the regular season finale at 7 p.m.

HOUSTON – The Houston Women's Basketball program will honor eight seniors Saturday evening as the Cougars conclude the regular season at 7 p.m., against UCF inside Fertitta Center.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the 6:40 p.m., pregame ceremony as Houston celebrates Shalexxus Aaron, Laila Blair, N'Yah Boyd, Amari Conn, Kamryn Jones, Britney Onyeje, Bria Patterson and Ash'a Thompson.

Houston closes out Big 12 regular season action as it faces UCF for the 30th time in program history on Saturday.
UCF leads the all-time series, 22-7.
In its last meeting, UCF picked up a 92-87 OT victory in Orlando (Jan. 27, 2024).
Houston Head Coach Ronald Hughey served as the recruiting coordinator for UCF during the 2008- 09 season where the Knights claimed the CUSA Championship title and the school's third NCAA Tournament berth.
Houston will honor its eight seniors, Shalexxus Aaron, Laila Blair, N'Yah Boyd, Amari Conn, Kamryn Jones, Britney Onyeje, Bria Patterson and Ash'a Thompson.
Blair, Conn, Jones and Thompson all have one year of eligibility remaining due the Covid-19 pandemic.

LAST TIME OUT

Houston dropped its final road game of the regular season to BYU, 64-54, inside the Marriott Center on Wednesday evening.
On the boards, Houston outrebounded BYU, 40-38, with senior forward Peyton McFarland leading Houston with eight, followed by graduate guard N'Yah Boyd with seven.
Houston went a perfect 15-of-15 from the charity stripe, as it shot 100% for the first time since going 10-of-10 against Tulsa on Jan. 8, 2022.
Senior guard Laila Blair led Houston with 18 points.

Houston's bench ranks #1 in the Big 12 and #14 nationally, averaging 26.7 points.
The Cougars average 11.5 steals to land them at the #2 spot in the Big 12 and #10 in the country.
Houston has three Cougars in the 1,000-point club: Laila Blair 1,580; N'Yah Boyd 1,208; Patterson 1,039.
Blair is now the seventh all-time scorer in program history at 1,580 career-points; she will take sole possession of sixth by scoring nine points.
Graduate guard Britney Onyeje (966) is 34 points away from reaching 1,000 career points with Houston.
Onyeje is second all-time on the three-pointers made list with 207.
Blair (192) is third all-time on the three-pointers made list, surpassing Chandi Jones (188, 2000-04).
