PREVIEW: Cougars Face Jayhawks in Lawrence on Thursday

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Houston Women's Basketball program is back on the road as it takes on Kansas for its lone regular season meeting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday inside Allen Fieldhouse.

A win on Thursday would mark Houston's first road Big 12 Conference victory and first win in program history against the Jayhawks.

Thursday marks the lone meeting between Houston and Kansas during the 2023-24 regular season.
Prior to the 2023-24 season, Houston and Kansas hadn't played a game against each other since the 2008-09 season.
In its most recent meeting, Kansas defeated Houston at Hofheinz Pavilion, 73-56 (Dec. 22, 2009).

Senior guard Laila Blair led the Cougars with 14 points, her 19th game this season scoring in double figures.
Graduate guard Britney Onyeje recorded her 200th career 3-pointer against Baylor.

Both Onyeje (201) and Laila Blair (180) have their eyes set on the Houston all-time three-pointers made record of 226 set by Brittney Scott (2007-11).
Onyeje is second all-time on the three-pointers made list, surpassing Chandi Jones (188, 2000-04).
Blair sits at fifth all-time on the three-pointers made list, will take sole possession of fourth with six made three-pointers.
