PROVO, Utah – The University of Houston Women's Basketball program remains on the road for its penultimate regular season game as it takes on BYU at 8 p.m., CT Wednesday inside the Marriott Center.

TODAY'S GAME

Houston and BYU meet for the fourth time in program history on Wednesday.
Houston leads the all-time series, 4-0.
In its last meeting, senior guard Laila Blair led Houston to its first-ever Big 12 Conference victory after defeating BYU, 79-69, in Fertitta Center (Jan. 10, 2024)
BYU and Houston meet in Provo for the second time in program history since the 1986-87 season, where Houston defeated BYU, 97-79 (Dec. 13, 1986).
With a win over BYU, Houston will record its second Big 12 road win and first season sweep.

LAST TIME OUT

On Saturday, Houston dropped a hard-fought road game, 59-49, against TCU at Schollmaier Arena.
The Cougars outscored the Horned Frogs, 32-26, in the second half, including 20 points in the final quarter, but it would not be enough to secure the season sweep over TCU.
Senior guard Laila Blair led the team in scoring with 14 points, followed by graduate guard N'Yah Boyd with 13.

Houston's bench ranks #1 in the Big 12 and #14 nationally, averaging 27.1 points per game.
The Cougars average 11.67 steals to land them at the #2 spot in the Big 12 and #9 in the country.

Blair is now the eighth all-time scorer in program history at 1,562 career-points; she will move to seventh all-time by scoring 16 points.
Graduate guard Britney Onyeje (966) is 34 points away from reaching 1,000 career points with Houston.
Both Onyeje (207) and Laila Blair (191) have their eyes set on the Houston all-time three-pointers made record of 226 set by Brittney Scott (2007-11).
Onyeje is second all-time on the three-pointers made list.
Blair (191) sits third all-time on the three-pointers made list, surpassing Chandi Jones (188, 2000-04).
