Three Cougars earn honor for a second-straight year
HOUSTON – Five members of the University of Houston Soccer team earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
Senior midfielders Juliet Moore (health promotions), Alexis Fowlkes (psychology) and senior defender Alex Whitcraft (pre-business administration) each earned the award for the second time in their careers while senior forward Ramsey Davis (mass media and journalism) and sophomore forward Kyrsten Kizer (exercise science) are first timers to the list.
Moore led Houston with five goals on the season including the first Houston hat trick since 2016 at Texas State (Sept. 1).
A captain for the Cougars, Fowlkes started every match and netted the game winner against Arizona. For the third straight year, Whitcraft also started every match for Houston.
Davis appeared in all 17 matches, making 10 starts and tallied the game winner against Tarleton State (Aug. 25), while Kizer played in 16 contests with eight starts and was responsible for the assist against Sam Houston (Aug. 18).
ABOUT THE AWARD
