Graduate goalkeeper Lexi Gonzalez collects 200 career save, Cougars fall, 2-0, to Horned Frogs

FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of Houston Soccer team concluded the first year of the Ben Williams Era with a 2-0 loss to #5 TCU on Thursday evening at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

TCU (15-2-1, 9-1-1 Big 12) scored a goal in each half as Sydney Becerra and Cate Sarinopoulos teamed up with AJ Hennessey in the 19th minute to give the Horned Frogs the early lead.

The Horned Frogs doubled their lead in the 57th minute when Cameron Patton found Emma Yolinsky in space to help claim the Big 12 Regular Season Championship for the second straight season.

After a penalty kick was awarded in the 80th minute, graduate goalkeeper Lexi Gonzalez collected her 200th career save on the attempt.

The Cougars conclude their season with a 7-4-7 overall record with a 24-5 ledger in conference play.
