Senior midfielder Juliet Moore recorded her fifth goal of the season
CINCINNATI – The University of Houston Soccer team dropped its Sunday afternoon match, 4-1, against Cincinnati at Gettler Stadium.
Houston (3-8-1, 0-6 Big 12) continues its road swing with a trip to Stillwater, Okla., to face Oklahoma State at 7 p.m., Thursday.
Cincinnati (6-6-1, 2-4 Big 12) opened the scoring late in the first half when Fran Stables found Paige Miller in the 38th minute.
The Bearcats doubled their lead early in the second half when Lauren Bastian found the head of Madding Swingle in the 47th minute.
In the 55th minute, Cincinnati cashed in on another header as Ellie Flower found the back of the net.
The Cougars would get on the board in the 57th minute as senior midfielder Jordan Johnson found fellow senior midfielder Juliet Moore, who poked in her team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Cincinnati stretched their lead back to three in the 74th minute as Ashlyn Basinger found Emma Schmelzer just outside the box.

The Cougars wrap their two-game road trip with a stop in Stillwater, Okla., to face Oklahoma State at 7 p.m., Thursday from Neal Patterson Stadium.
