Soccer Falls at Oklahoma State

Cougars outshoot Cowgirls 10-7, but cannot convert
STILLWATER, Okla. – Despite out-shooting the Cowgirls, the University of Houston Soccer team fell to Oklahoma State, 3-0 on Thursday evening at Neal Patterson Stadium.
The Cougars (3-9-1, 0-7 Big 12) took 10 shots with five of them being on target, while holding Oklahoma State (10-2-3, 3-2-2 Big 12) to seven attempts with just three on goal.
Senior midfielder Juliet Moore and junior forward Cameryn Maddox paced Houston with three shots apiece including a pair of shots on target from Maddox.
Oklahoma State opened the scoring in the seventh minute as Alex Morris connected on a ball from just outside the box.
Two minutes later, the Cowgirls added another goal as Gracie Bindbeutel pushed a ball past freshman goalkeeper Maggie Manning and into the net.
Oklahoma State got their third goal of the half and the match when Xcaret Pineda netted a penalty kick in the 13th minute.

Houston returns home to face Arizona at 1 p.m., Sunday at the Carl Lewis International Complex for its Go Pink for the Cure match.
