HOUSTON– The University of Houston Women's Basketball program returns to Fertitta Center as it takes on BYU at 7 p.m., Wednesday for First Responders Day.

BATTLE OF THE COUGARS

- Senior guard Laila Blair posted 17 points and four rebounds in Houston's, 87-58 loss against #6/9 Baylor inside Foster Pavilion on Saturday.
- Blair led the Cougars in scoring in back-to-back games with 17 points, her ninth-straight game in double figures. The Houston native hit three of the Cougars' seven 3-pointers against the Bears.
- Graduate forward Bria Patterson (988) is 12 points away from reaching 1,000 career points with the Cougars.
- Graduate guard N'Yah Boyd reached 1,000 career points against Texas A&M-Commerce while posting her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds (Dec. 8, 2023).
- Both Britney Onyeje (191) and Laila Blair (165) have their eyes set on the Houston all-time three-pointers made record of 226 set by Brittney Scott (2007-11).
- Onyeje is now second all-time on the three-pointers made list, surpassing Chandi Jones (188, 2000-04) while Blair sits at sixth all-time.
- A season after being the shortest team in the league and relying on its full court press to make teams uncomfortable, the Cougars are the 11th tallest team in the league this year an average height of 5-11.
