MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The University of Houston Women's Basketball heads to Morgantown, W.Va., in search of its first Big 12 Conference road win as it faces rv/rv West Virginia at 6 p.m., CT Wednesday inside WVU Coliseum.

TODAY'S GAME
- Houston and rv/rv West Virginia meet for the fourth time in program history on Wednesday; the Second meeting in Morgantown, W. Va.
- After picking up two Big 12 Conference wins at home, Houston is in search of its first Big 12 road win.
- The Mountaineers lead the all-time series, 3-0.
- Although this is the first meeting between Head Coaches Ronald Hughey and Mark Kellogg at the helm of their current program, both Head Coaches previously met during Kellogg's tenure at Stephen F. Austin during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, where they split the series.
- The Cougars are 1-1 this season against programs receiving votes in the AP Poll/USA Today Coaches Poll and 0-2 against ranked opponents.
- Senior guard Laila Blair recorded a career-high 33 points as Houston knocked off rv/rv TCU, 77-66, inside Fertitta Center on Saturday afternoon.
- The Cougars posted their second consecutive Big 12 Conference victory and first win against the Horned Frogs since a 73-68 victory on Dec. 21, 2007.
- Graduate forward Bria Patterson drained a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to reach 1,000 career points.
- Graduate guard Britney Onyeje (913) is 87 points away from reaching 1,000 career points with Houston.
- Bria Patterson is now the third active Cougar with 1,000+ career points; Laila Blair 1,398; N'Yah Boyd 1,097.
- Houston is closing in on being one of eight teams with four active 1,000+ point scorers.
- Both Onyeje (195) and Laila Blair (170) have their eyes set on the Houston all-time three-pointers made record of 226 set by Brittney Scott (2007-11).
- Onyeje is now second all-time on the three-pointers made list, surpassing Chandi Jones (188, 2000-04).
- Blair sits at sixth all-time on the three-pointers made list and will move to fourth all-time with two more 3-pointers.
- A season after being the shortest team in the league and relying on its full court press to make teams uncomfortable, the Cougars are the 11th tallest team in the league this year an average height of 5-11.
