HOUSTON– Following its first Big 12 Conference win on Wednesday, the University of Houston Women's Basketball returns to action as it hosts rv/rv TCU at 2 p.m., Saturday inside Fertitta Center.

TODAY'S GAME
- Houston and rv/rv TCU meet for the 44th time in program history on Saturday.
- Both programs will renew its rivalry as members of the Big 12 Conference after meeting previously in the Southwest Conference and Conference-USA. Houston leads the all-time series, 29-14.
- TCU has won the last five meetings.
- TCU and Houston meet for the first time since the 2012-13 season where TCU defeated Houston, 60-51 (Dec. 2, 2012).
- Houston won its last meeting against TCU in Houston, 73-68 (Dec. 21, 2007).
- Behind 20 points from senior guard Laila Blair, the University of Houston Women's Basketball program earned its first Big 12 Conference victory after defeating BYU, 79-69 on Wednesday evening at Fertitta Center.
- After BYU went on an 8-0 run to begin the second quarter, Houston responded with a 10-0 run of their own, spearheaded by five points from freshman guard Kierra Merchant.
- Senior forward Kamryn Jones posted four of her career-high eight steals in the opening two minutes of the third quarter to set a new women's basketball Fertitta Center record. Blair also posted nine of her 20 points in the frame.
- BYU clawed its way back into the game to get within four at the 4:35 mark in the fourth quarter. Blair made seven of Houston's nine free throws in the final frame to seal the first Big 12 win in program history.
- Graduate forward Bria Patterson (990) is 10 points away from reaching 1,000 career points with the Cougars.
- Graduate guard Britney Onyeje (911) is 89 points away from reaching 1,000 career points with the Cougars.
- Houston is closing in on being one of eight teams with four active 1,000+ point scorers.
- Both Onyeje (195) and Laila Blair (166) have their eyes set on the Houston all-time three-pointers made record of 226 set by Brittney Scott (2007-11).
- Onyeje is now second all-time on the three-pointers made list, surpassing Chandi Jones (188, 2000-04) while Blair sits at sixth all-time.
- A season after being the shortest team in the league and relying on its full court press to make teams uncomfortable, the Cougars are the 11th tallest team in the league this year an average height of 5-11.
