
Soccer Set for Thursday Big 12 Opener Against rv Texas Tech

Cougars prepare for historic night in Lubbock
LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Houston Soccer program opens Big 12 Conference action on the road against rv Texas Tech at 7 p.m., Thursday at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
After closing out the non-conference portion of the 2023 schedule with a 6-1-1 record, the Cougars will face the undefeated Red Raiders for just the second time in program history.
This marks Houston Athletics' first Big 12 matchup across all sports since joining the league July 1, 2023.
The game will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Geoff Haxton and Bridgett Jenkins calling the action. Live stats will be available here.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
Houston will return to the Carl Lewis International Complex for a two-match homestand as it hosts UCF for its Big 12 home opener at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 21.
The Cougars then will welcome Oklahoma at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 24, for Houston Youth Soccer Day.
TICKETS
Students will be able to claim one ticket at no cost to all home soccer matches. Students can claim their tickets by presenting their student IDs at the gate.
Single-game tickets are now available to purchase for $10 per match. Season tickets are also available to purchase for only $42 with family plans (four season tickets) starting at $100.
Mobile tickets can also be purchased at game time at the ticket booth located at Schroeder Park (baseball), adjacent to the Carl Lewis International Complex.
