Houston Will Host Lamar on Thursday

Cougars look to continue its winning record
HOUSTON – Houston Soccer (3-0-1) will take on Lamar (1-2-0) Thursday at the Carl Lewis International Complex at 7 p.m.
Following a Sunday 3-0 win against Houston Baptist, the Cougars look to add another win to its season record. The Cougars are still unbeaten on the 2021 season for the first time since 2016.
Houston's Madison Gear and Anna Reysa both received American Athletic Conference honors based on their impressive performances last week. Gear was named Offensive Player of the Week while Reysa was named to the Honor Roll.
Thursday's theme will be Hispanic Heritage Night. Fans have the opportunity to play lotería throughout the evening for a chance to win a wide variety of prizes.
SERIES HISTORYÂ
Houston and Lamar have battled three times holding a series record of 1-1-1. The two first faced one another in 2011 which resulted in a 1-0 Cougar home win. However, the Cardinals came out on top in 2018 with a 2-0 win in Beaumont.
