Jazmin Grant Named to 2021 Preseason All-Conference Team

Cougars standout receives AAC preseason honors
HOUSTON – Houston Soccer redshirt senior Jazmin Grant has been named to the American Athletic Conference preseason all-conference team for second time in her career, the league office announced Tuesday.

In addition to preseason all-conference honors, Grant was also named to the All-American Athletic Conference Second Team as a junior when she led the team with 20 shots on goal. As a senior, she was named First-Team All-Conference and a United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Second Team honoree.

Grant led the team in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal last season, moving into several Top-Ten offensive categories in Cougars history. She has also found success in the classroom, earning American Athletic Conference Honor Roll honors twice last season.
Houston Soccer was picked seventh overall in the American Athletic Preseason Coaches Poll for the upcoming season.
The Cougars are set to open the 2021 season tomorrow at 7 p.m. against Oklahoma at the Carl Lewis International Complex.Â
