Houston Soccer Prepares for Season Opener

Cougars set sights on match against Oklahoma for first game of 2021 season
HOUSTON – Houston Soccer will officially kick off its 2021 season on Thursday with a match against the Sooners of Oklahoma at the Carl Lewis International Complex at 7 p.m. Following exhibition play against Incarnate Word one week ago, the Cougars prepare to open the soccer season on home turf.
SERIES HISTORY
The Sooners hold a 1-0 advantage over the Cougars in all-time wins with the only match between the two played in September 2019. Houston traveled to Norman, Okla. where it was outscored 2-1.
UP NEXT
Houston will travel to Lake Charles, La. to face McNeese at 6 p.m. for its first road game of the season on Sunday.
