Houston Soccer to Wrap Up Regular Season Schedule Thursday

Cougars travel to Tulsa to face Golden Hurricanes
HOUSTON – Houston Soccer (12-4-2, 4-2-1 AAC) will travel to Tulsa (6-8-2, 2-2-2 AAC) on Thursday to finish the regular season schedule with a 7 p.m. match.
The Cougars are currently tied for its most wins in program history and look to improve on this week to create a new all-time record. Houston has also clinched a berth to the American Athletic Conference tournament following the conclusion of the regular season.
Two Cougars have put themselves on the national rankings with their strong efforts this season. Goalkeeper Mikaela Gracia is tied for 14 with her eight shutouts due to her numerous saves in the net. She is also ranked 22 for 1592 minutes played. Nadia Kamassah is also in the NCAA rankings tied for eighth with five game-winning goals.
Houston also has conference leaders listed in The American rankings. Graduate student Zionah Browne holds the No. 1 ranking for total assists with seven, ranking second in the assists per game category. Gracia holds the top spot in the conference for both overall shutouts and shutouts per game. Kamassah also holds the No. 1 ranking for game-winning goals.
Jazmin Grant, Mia Brascia, and Caitlyn Matthews also hold top-10 conference rankings in various categories.
The Cougars are currently ranked third in the conference behind USF and SMU. Earlier in the season, Houston tied USF and came out on top against SMU.
SERIES HISTORY
Houston holds a 7-5-3 record against Tulsa with the most recent matchup taking place in March resulting in a 4-1 Houston victory. The series began in 2005 with the two teams going head to head every season since with the exception of 2013.
