Houston Heads to Tulane For Mid-Week Meeting

Cougars look to bounce back and split series with Green Wave
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball returns to action in the Big Easy when it takes on Tulane on Wednesday at Devlin Fieldhouse.
Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. on ESPN+
THE 4-1-1
Houston heads to New Orleans to closeout its series against Tulane on Thursday. The Cougars are led in scoring by Britney Onyeje who averages 10.9 points per game. Tatyana Hill leads UH on the glass, pulling down 5.3 rebounds per game. Dymond Gladney is the assists leader for the Cougars with 37 this season.
Houston is averaging 66.7 points per game on 38.5 percent shooting from the field and a 30.1 percent mark from beyond the 3-point line. The Cougars allow 64.1 points on defense while letting opponents shoot 39.0 percent and 25.0 percent from the field and beyond the arc, respectively.
Under Coach Hughey, Houston has been one of the most active defensive teams in the country over the past two seasons. The Cougars enter the game with 139 steals this season and 51 blocks, forcing 21.4 turnovers per game.

Tulane is in its 27th season under Head Coach Lisa Stockton. The Green Wave is 8-4 this season and 4-3 in conference play. Tulane has won two of its last three games, most recently defeating to Tulsa in a 65-54 decision.
Tulane is led in scoring and assists by Jerkaila Jordan who averages 14.7 points per game. Krystal Freeman leads the team in rebounds with 8.7 per game. Jordan leads Tulane in assists with 34 this season. Tulane averages 69.6 points per game on 43.4 percent shooting from the field, including a 29.9 percent mark from the three-point line.
