Lee earns first win of collegiate career
The Cougars (3-1) started the day falling to UMass Lowell in eight innings by a score of 7-4 but bounced back to take down Fordham, 6-1. In the win over the Rams (0-4), freshman pitcher Megan Lee earned her first collegiate victory, tossing all seven innings and surrendering just three hits in the process.
By winning three of its first four games of the season, Houston is off to a 3-1 start for the second time in three years.
KEY INNINGS
3rd | After the River Hawks tied the score in the top of the inning, the Cougars came back in the bottom half to score a pair and regain the lead. Once senior infielder Sarah Queen collected a base-knock of her own, Odneal came around to score and put Houston ahead by two.
