HOUSTON – Two of the American Athletic Conference's Top-3 teams will square off Wednesday night when the University of Houston Men's Basketball program plays host to Tulsa at 8 p.m., inside the Fertitta Center.
The 22nd-ranked Cougars have posted a 20-6 overall record and are 10-3 in American play to tie for the league lead with Cincinnati. Tulsa stands a half game back with a 9-3 conference record.
Houston enters this week's game following a tough 73-72 loss in overtime at SMU on Saturday. Against the Mustangs, freshman guard Marcus Sasser drained three free throws with three seconds remaining in regulation to force the extra period and finished with a career-high 26 points.
