POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Please see below for pertinent information regarding your upcoming visit to Fertitta Center.
ADDRESS
The Fertitta Center is located on the campus of the University of Houston at 3422 Cullen Blvd Houston, TX 77204. It is located on the corner of Cullen Boulevard and Holman Street, next to the Guy V. Lewis Development Facility.
ALCOHOL
The University of Houston and The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics work hard to promote responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Outside alcohol is prohibited the Fertitta Center. Beer, wine and liquor are sold at most concession stands and portable stands throughout the concourse.
All alcohol sales conclude at the 10-minute mark of the second half for the general public areas of the arena. Alcohol will be served in the Legends Club, Sideline Club, and Suites until one hour after the game.
ANIMALS
Animals are not permitted inside the Fertitta Center with the exception of service animals trained to do work or perform task for guest with disabilities. Therapy, comfort, companion or emotional support animals are not permitted.
BANNERS AND SIGNS
Banners and signs must be event-related, in good taste and cannot obstruct the view of other spectators. They may not contain derogatory or unsportsmanlike comments directed to the opposing team’s players or fans, game officials, or stadium personnel. They may not contain commercial messages, logos or political endorsements. All signs held by spectators must be no larger than 3 feet tall by 3 feet wide. The sign cannot be lifted via a pole or stick, must be held in the hands of the spectator. Any sign, flag, banner or poster may be removed, at any time, at the sole discretion of the Fertitta Center management.
CAMERAS
Cameras (still only) are permitted inside the Fertitta Center as long as their use does not interfere with the game or other guests' enjoyment of the event. Pictures of the game are for personal use only and may not be sold. Tri-pods, mono-pods, multiple lenses and lenses longer than 8 inches are prohibited from use on the concourse or in the stands. Video cameras and video recording of events are prohibited.
CHILDREN
Children age two (2) years and under will be admitted free of charge, but must sit in the lap of a parent or guardian and may not occupy a seat or obstruct the sight lines of other guests.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The University of Houston Department of Athletics is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests. Our staff will proactively support an environment free from the following behaviors:
• Abusive, foul or disruptive language and obscene gestures
• Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption
• Behavior that is reckless, dangerous, materially disruptive or illegal in nature
• Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
• Sitting in a location other than the guest’s ticketed seat
• Any material disruption to the progress of the event by guest's actions, (including entering the court or throwing objects onto the court)
• Failing to follow instructions of arena personnel or law enforcement officers
• Verbal or physical harassment of the opposing team's players or fans, officials, or arena personnel
Continuing inappropriate behavior may result in the guest being ejected, arrested by police, or having his/her tickets revoked. All season-ticket holders are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons using their tickets. Fans who see someone violating the code of conduct should notify arena security or tweet @UHCougarGameday
DOORS OPENING TIMES
The Fertitta Center will open 60 minutes prior to the start of the games.
EMERGENCIES
Should you need immediate assistance, please notify the nearest event staff member, security personnel or police officer. Guest are encouraged to report issues and concerns to any nearby event staff member or by sending tweets to @UHCougarGameday
In the event of a serious emergency at the Fertitta Center, all event staff, event security, police and Houston Public Safety emergency response agencies are ready and available to assist all guests. Pertinent information regarding the emergency situation will be provided over the public address system including arena televisions and scoreboards.

LOST CHILDREN and GUESTS
Lost children and guests should be taken to any police officer or to Guest Services located on the concourse at the Cullen Bouldevard Entrance.
METAL DETECTORS
In a continuing effort to improve the fan experience and provide a safer environment for all guests, walk-through magnetometers, a more effective and less intrusive form of screening, have been installed at all entry points of the Fertitta Center. Guests will not need to remove their shoes, belts, watches or jewelry, as required at airports.
To help expedite the process, guests are advised to only bring items they will absolutely need for the event. Working personnel, including media, will be subject to screening and bag inspections.
PROHIBITED BEHAVIOR
• Smoking, including e-cigarettes (the University of Houston is a Tobacco Free Campus)
• Ticket scalping
• Abusive, foul or disruptive language
• Throwing objects
• Trespassing, soliciting, peddling and loitering
• Access to the court level and or playing surface without the proper authorization or credentials.
• Any other item or action deemed dangerous or inappropriate
• Guest who appear to be inebriated and unmanageable will not be permitted admittance into the arena

In conjunction with the NCAA and for the safety of our guests and employees, the following are prohibited:
• Alcohol
• Animals
except service animals (dogs) trained to work or perform task for guest with disabilities

• Backpacks or any bag larger than 4.5”X6.5”
• Balls – including basketballs of any size
• Cameras with lenses larger than 8 inches
• Coolers/bottles and thermoses – including metal drinkware
• Fireworks, open flames or flammables
• Firearms and weapons of any kind
• Illegal drugs
• Laser pointers
• Glass containers of any kind
• Outside food and beverage
• Personal transport devices (skateboards/hover boards/segways)
• Selfie sticks/tripods and other camera mounts
• Souvenir Cups
• Video cameras and the use of video capable devices
Any attempt to bring prohibited items into the Fertitta Center will be considered a violation of the Code of Conduct and may result in the guest being ejected, arrested or tickets being revoked. All persons and/or their belongings are subject to search. Violators of the rules of any State or City laws will be refused admission, asked to leave or ejected from Arena property.
SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING
In an effort to ensure the safety of our fans on game day, we are asking all spectators to notify UH Police Department, event staff personnel or Athletics Department Staff immediately if you see anything out of the ordinary while on campus or in the Fertitta Center. Call UHPD at 713-743-3333
SOLICITATIONS, GIVEAWAYS AND SPONSORSHIPS
No items may be distributed in or around the Fertitta Center, including tailgate areas, without prior consent from the University of Houston Department of Athletics and LEARFIELD.

ADA ACCESSIBLE ACCOMMODATIONS

The Fertitta Center is designed with ADA accessible parking, restrooms, concessions and seating areas. All public entrances are ADA accessible. BABY CHANGING AREAS
Baby changing stations are located in every restroom in the arena.
CLOSED CAPTIONING
To provide the best fan experience to every Houston fan, closed captioning is provided at both ends of the Fertitta Center behind the goals.
CONCESSIONS
Chartwells is the official concessionaire for the Fertitta Center. Concession stands as well as portable carts are located throughout the concourse level.

CREDIT CARDS
All major credit cards are accepted at the Holman Ticket Office, concessions, merchandise stands and cash parking lots.
ELEVATOR
The Fertitta Center is equipped with an elevator that will provide access from the concourse level to the club level of the arena. It is located between Sections 103 and 104 near the Holman Street entrance.
FIRST AID
A First Aid station is located on the concourse of the Fertitta Center behind section 107. Guests needing medical assistance are encouraged to contact a nearby event staff or security staff member, who can assist in contacting the First Aid staff.
GAME DAY TWITTER ACCOUNT - @UHCougarGameday
Follow the University of Houston Department of Athletics Game Day twitter account, @UHCougarGameday , for information on things such as, traffic, parking, weather alerts and much more. You can also utilize this account to ask questions, report incidents and receive assistance during the game.
GUEST SERVICES
The University of Houston Department of Athletics strives to ensure a positive game day experience for all fans. The Guest Services booth is located on the concourse by the Cullen Boulevard Entrance across from section 112. Fans can also follow the @UHCougarGameday Twitter account for up-to-date information on traffic, parking and weather alerts.
LOST and FOUND
All Guests needing to claim or report lost items during an event should visit the ticket booth at either Cullen or Holman entrances. Items found but not claimed are taken to the University of Houston Police Department. The University of Houston Department of Athletics cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items. The Lost and Found number is 713-743-0620.
RADIO BROADCASTS
Houston Cougar Men's Basketball games are broadcast in the Houston area on 950 AM KPRC as part of the Houston Learfield Sports Network. Fans can also listen to the broadcast for free on the Varsity Network BY CLICKING HERE.
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are conveniently located throughout the arena. All gender restrooms are located behind Sections 101 and Section 109. All restrooms are ADA accessible and are equipped with baby changing stations.
STROLLERS
Strollers are permitted at the Fertitta Center. However, their use cannot inhibit guest movement or block any aisles. Smaller, umbrella-style strollers can be stored underneath a seat as long as it does not create an obstruction for other guests. Parking strollers in ADA accessible areas is prohibited. Stroller check-in located at Guest Services (on concourse across from section 112 at the Cullen Boulevard Entrance).
TEAM SHOP
The UH Team Shop operated by Follett is the official outfitter of Houston Athletics. The merchandise stand is located on the concourse level behind Section 104 on the Holman Street side of the arena. Visit UHTeamShop.com for all your Houston fan apparel.
PARKING
Due to the fact that faculty/staff and student parking lots are used on game day, and many games are weekday games, parking lots will be available two (2) hours prior to tipoff. In the event a parking space in your lot is unavailable, UH parking representatives will relocate you to the best alternative parking option until the situation is resolved.
ADA ACCESSIBILITY ACCOMMODATION
ADA Accessible parking is available in every gameday lot on first come first serve basis.

Patrons with a Men’s Basketball parking pass from Cougar Pride in the Tan Lot (15C), Stadium Garage - Orange, or Blue Lot (west side of 16B/16C) will use a mobile parking pass. Download your parking pass into your mobile wallet prior to your arrival on campus.

METRO RAIL PURPLE LINE
The Metro Rail Purple Line includes a stop just outside of TDECU Stadium. Houston fans can enjoy the ease of travel on the 6.6-mile Purple Line, which begins downtown and travels southeast along Capitol and Rusk to the Palm Center near MLK and Griggs.

STADIUM GARAGE ACCESS
Access to Stadium Garage Student entrance is not accessible from Scott Street beginning 90 minutes before tip-off. Use Cullen Boulevard if access is needed for that entrance.

To ensure a more contact-free and convenient fan entry experience Houston Athletics will use a digital mobile ticketing platform. Fans should download their ticket to their mobile device and place them in their digital wallet for safe contactless scanning at the gates. For more information, click here.
Houston Athletics strongly recommends fans to download their mobile tickets and parking passes to their mobile wallet on their smartphone prior to each home game.
ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASES
Fans can call 713.Go.Coogs (462-6647) or visit the Houston Athletics Ticket Office from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Houston Athletics Ticket Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Schroeder Gate 1 and Legends Plaza. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium Garage visitor entrance with the first 30 minutes free of charge.

Houston Athletics offers special discounts for groups of 10 or more at Houston Basketball games. If you are part of an organization, we invite you to join us for a fun group outing at one of our home games.

PLAYER-GUEST (Houston)
Guests of University of Houston student-athletes may pick up tickets at the ticket office at the Holman Street entrance of the Fertitta Center 60 minutes before tipoff. Per NCAA rules, each person receiving a ticket must be present with a photo ID in order to sign for tickets.
Guests of players are required to enter the arena when they receive their ticket and must follow arena policies regarding no re-entry.
RECRUIT/HIGH SCHOOL COACH TICKETS
University of Houston Basketball recruits can receive more information about tickets by calling the Men's Basketball office at 713.743.9430 or the Women's Basketball Office at 713.743.8938.
Texas High School Coaches can receive one (1) complimentary ticket for themselves and one (1) additional for a guest based upon availability. THSCA members can call the respective Basketball office in advance to request their name to be added to the list for a particular game(s).
Should there still be availability on the list for that game(s), Texas High School coaches will be instructed to go to the ticket office at the Holman Street entrance of the Fertitta Center starting 60 minutes prior to tipoff and show their THSCA card to receive the complimentary ticket on game day. Any coach without the THSCA card on game day will not be admitted. Reservations for THSCA tickets must be made prior to game day.
REFUND POLICY
No refunds, exchanges or cancellations are permitted. Refunds will not be granted due to a game date or time changes. Check UHCougars.com for up to date game information.
The University of Houston Athletics Ticket Office is not responsible for any tickets that are lost. In case of lost or stolen tickets, please contact the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713-Go-Coogs as soon as you recognize that the tickets are missing. On game day, please go to the Fertitta Center Ticket Office at either the Holman or Cullen Street entrances.
Patrons will be required to show their photo id, confirmation number (if available) and credit card, if applicable, that was used to purchase the ticket(s). Stolen tickets should always be reported to the local law enforcement agency first.

Ticket Usage Policy
All children ages 3 and older must have a ticket. No outside food or drinks are allowed in events hosted by or venues operated by the University of Houston Department of Athletics. The University of Houston is not responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets. Tickets obtained from unofficial or unauthorized sources, including but not limited to: ticket brokers, fraudulent, lost, stolen or duplicated tickets may be seized and/or canceled without refund.
The ticket holder, by attending the event, voluntarily assumes all risks and dangers incidental to the event he or she is attending, whether occurring prior to or subsequent to the actual event. This ticket is a revocable limited license to attend a specific athletic event. The University of Houston may in its sole discretion revoke this license and eject or refuse entry to the ticket holder for violation of terms and conditions noted herein, venue rules, illegal activity or misconduct. The ticket holder consents to all searches of person or property as a condition of entry and to confiscation of any and all prohibited items. Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice or any right of refund.
The ticket holder, by attending the event, grants the University of Houston, for the benefit of its Athletic Department, a non-exclusive, transferrable, perpetual and permanent right and license to use (and to sub-license the use of) his or her name and likeness if it is included in any broadcast, photograph, recording or display in any form of media of or relating to the event he or she is attending.
There are no refunds or exchanges for tickets. No re-entry into events hosted by, or venues operated by, the University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics allowed.

TICKETS SALES WINDOWS
The Fertitta Center ticket sales windows will open 60 minutes prior to tip-off on game days. Advance ticket sales are made through the Houston Athletics Ticket Office by calling 713.GO.COOGS (462-6647), online at UHCougars.com, or visiting the Houston Athletics Ticket Office, located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside Schroeder Gate 1 by Legends Plaza. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium Garage visitor entrance with the first 30 minutes free of charge.

STUDENT TICKETS
There are 1,000 tickets available to current enrolled students & may be claimed for each regular season home game on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Student ticket is good for general admission seating in the student sections at the Fertitta Center (Sections S11-S15 and 109). First 300 get to sit on the floor in sections S11-S15.
- Students are required to enter Fertitta Center at the student entrance on Cullen Boulevard
- Students can claim a ticket, starting the Monday of the week of the game until 2 hours prior to doors opening at Fertitta Center (subject to availability). Students will be able to claim a ticket by logging into their account at uhcougars.com/students
- Tickets will be sent to students as mobile ticket to their phone no later than 24 hours prior to tipoff. Email address listed on student’s online ticket account must be active on their phone to be able to receive mobile tickets.
- If tickets are still available, students can claim one on game day by showing their student ID at the Holman entrance ticket office for admittance.
Valid Cougar Card in addition to game ticket is required for admittance to games

ANY ATTEMPT AT SELLING YOUR STUDENT TICKET, OR ANY STUDENT EJECTED FROM A GAME WILL LOSE ACCESS TO TICKETS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR WITHOUT A REFUND AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES PURSUANT TO THE STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
VISITING TEAM-PLAYER GUEST and WILL CALL
The visiting team player guest and will call is located at the ticket office on the Holman Street side of the Fertitta Center. Guests will be admitted when the gates open 60 minutes prior to tipoff. The visiting team may distribute tickets prior to this time, but that is the decision of each visiting institution.
If you are receiving tickets through the visiting team and have questions, you should contact that institution prior to game day. A photo ID will be required to receive the tickets.
WILL CALL
General Will Call is for customers who have purchased in advance and requested their tickets to be left at Will Call. Customers may pick up Will Call tickets any time in advance at the Houston Athletics Ticket Office during normal business hours.
On game day fans will be able to pick up tickets left at general Will Call at both ticket booths inside of the Fertitta Center. Ticket windows will open 60 minutes prior to tipoff. A photo ID will be required to receive the tickets.
