Saturday’s game to be aired on The American Digital Network

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball team heads to Philadelphia for a Saturday afternoon matchup with Temple at 1 p.m. CT at McGonigle Hall.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• Houston enters Saturday's game with a 12-13 overall record this season, including a 5-6 mark in conference play.

• Houston has four players averaging double-digits this season led by Dorian Branch with 11.6 points per game, followed by Dymond Gladney with 11.5 points per game and Tatyana Hill 10.8.

• Houston is averaging 62.3 points per game on 38.6 percent shooting from the field and a 27.6 percent mark from beyond the 3-point line. The Cougars allow 66.5 points per game on defense while letting opponents shoot 41.2 percent and 30.3 percent from the field and beyond the arc, respectively.

• Hill leads Houston on the glass, pulling down 6.7 rebounds per contest.

• Houston is a force to be reckoned with on the boards this season, averaging 38.0 rebounds per game including over 15 offensive boards per game.

• Houston forces 18.6 turnovers per game, with 15 or more forced turnovers in 22 of its 25 games this season. Under Coach Hughey, Houston has been one of the most active defensive teams in the country over the past two seasons. The Cougars are experts at protecting the rim, entering the game ranked 52nd nationally in blocks (101) and 78th in Blocks Per Game (4.0).

• Temple enters Saturday's contest with an 13-10 overall record and 5-5 mark in conference play.

• Temple is averaging 70.1 points per game on 40.0 percent shooting from the field and 32.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

• The Owls enters their 12th season under Head Coach Tonya Cardoza and is led in scoring by Mia Davis who is averaging 18.5 points per game. Davis also leads the Owls on the boards with 10.5 rebounds per game, as Asonah Alexander leads the squad with 102 assists this season.
