Darby Gauntt Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Nod

Freshman is one of 166 selections
HOUSTON – University of Houston Cross Country freshman Darby Gauntt was one of 166 women named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team.
Gauntt closed out her debut season at Houston with a 21st-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional, to go along with top-25 finishes in each race she competed in this season. The sophomore helped the Cougars earn their highest team finish since 2009 at the South Central Regional.
All-Academic team selections, must earn a GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
