FLORENCE, Italy – University of Houston guards Marcus Sasser and Quentin Grimes poured in 17 points apiece to lead five Cougars in double digits on the way to a 95-88 win over BC Silute (Lithuania) on Monday night.
Competing inside Pala Terme in Via Cimbue, Montecatini Terme, the Cougars overcame a fourth-quarter deficit to win their second straight game during their 11-day trip to Italy.
The Cougars held a 71-64 lead heading into the final period, but BC Silute used a 10-2 run early to take an 80-78 lead on Josh Hamilton's jumper with 6:12 remaining.

Fortunately, the Cougars scored the game's next seven points with four coming from senior center Chris Harris Jr., as Houston built a lead it would never relinquish.
After BC Silute cut the lead the lead to 85-82 on a pair of free throws from Tautvydas Rimkus with just under four minutes remaining, Sasser drained a pair of treys in a 33-second stretch to ice the game.
For the second straight game, Sasser led the Cougars in scoring, totaling 17 points, thanks to five 3-pointers. Grimes added one 3-pointer of his own and went 6-of-7 from the free throw line.
Redshirt freshman guard Caleb Mills finished with 13 points while Harris and sophomore forward Cedrick Alley Jr. each added 10 points.
Hamilton led BC Silute with 17 points and three 3-pointers, while Paulius Poska finished with 16 points and Omar Alston added 15 points in the loss.
