Kondis and Dolence Tabbed as Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholars

HOUSTON – A pair of University of Houston student-athletes were named to the 2019 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Academic team.

Peyton Kondis highlighted the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Swimming and Diving First-Team.
Kondis is a three-year letterwinner for the Houston Swimming & Diving program, as well as a two-time team captain. The junior is a two-time American Athletic Conference Champion in the 100 breaststroke and two-time NCAA Qualifier. In the classroom, Kondis has maintained a 4.0 grade point average every semester of her collegiate career.

Houston Soccer senior Georgi Dolence highlighted the women's soccer Second-Team. Dolence is a graduate student working towards her MBA, and two-time team captain. The senior is currently in her second-term as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Dolence also serves as a Co-Chair for The American Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
