Cougars look to improve on 7-0 mark in midweeks
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball team steps out of American Athletic Conference play to visit Austin, Texas, on Wednesday for a midweek contest against No. 11/11 Texas.
Despite the Longhorns holding the all-time series lead over Houston, the Cougars came out on top the last time the two teams played each other, as Houston looks to capitalize on that 3-1 victory from a year ago.
The Cougars seek to win back-to-back games against the Longhorns for the first time since 2008. That same season, Houston won a program record 54 games in route to hosting a Super Regional in the NCAA Tournament.
