Cougars set to face ranked Aggies at Reed Arena
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball team will head to College Station for a matchup with No. 11/13 Texas A&M on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
The game will be aired on the SEC Network and featured Eric Frede (PxP) and Tamika Catchings (Analyst) on the call.
GAME NOTES
COUGAR FASTBREAK
• Houston enters Sunday's game with a 5-5 overall record this season after defeating Louisiana Tech at the Fertitta Center on Dec. 8
• Houston has two players averaging double-digits this season led by Dorian Branch with 12.6 points per game, she is followed by Tatyana Hill who is averaging 10.4 points per game. Julia Blackshell-Fair is third in scoring on the team providing 9.9 points per game and coming off her first career double-double.
• Houston is averaging 68.1 points per game which is third in the conference on 39.7 percent shooting from the field and a 26.8 percent mark from beyond the 3-point line. The Cougars allow 69.6 points per game on defense while letting opponents shoot 40.7 percent and 31.7 percent from the field and beyond the arc, respectively.
• Hill leads Houston on the glass, pulling down 6.5 rebounds per contest.
• Houston is a tough team to beat on the glass, averaging 16.9 offensive boards per game which is 12th nationally and second in The American.

Under Coach Hughey, Houston has been one of the most active defensive teams in the country over the past two seasons.
