Houston Returns Home to Face SMU

Cougars set for dual action against conference foe
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving program will return home to face American Athletic Conference foe SMU on Wednesday at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center.
The Cougars return to action after last hitting the pool on Oct. 11-12 against Rice at the Rice Fall Splash. Houston took home a third-place team finish at the event, after posting first-place finishes in five events. The Houston divers earned its second straight Houston Diving Invitational title, after winning two of the three events and sweeping the 1-meter.
Houston is 1-0 in dual-action this season and defeated Tulane in its home opener earlier this season.
SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
Houston will travel to Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 1-2, before preparing for the Phill Hansel Invitational Nov. 21-23 at the CRWC.

- SMU visits Houston for its second meet of the season after placing sixth at home in the SMU Classic.
- The Mustangs finished third at the 2019 American Athletic Conference Championships last season with 599 points and returns reigning American Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year Erin Trahan.
