Late goals lead to loss for Cougars in 2-0 decision
PHILADELPHIA - Two late goals in the second half resulted in a 2-0 loss for the Cougars, Sunday afternoon at the Temple Sports Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Houston had its share of chances, outshooting Temple 5-3 after the opening stanza.
- Temple would notch its first goal late in the second frame, inside the 70th minute.
- The Owls would score their final goal and extend their lead, inside the 77th minute.
- Samantha Cude played every minute in-goal for the Cougars, posting one save.
- Desiree Bowen, Jazmin Grant and Mia Brascia led the team with two shots each.
- Houston outshot Temple, 11-7.
- The Cougars tallied five corner kicks on the day.
OTHER NOTABLES
- Houston falls to 3-11-0 on the season.
- Houston is now 2-6-0 on the road this season.
- Temple owns the all-time series, 6-1-0.
