WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Sorensen posted a top-10 finish in the 6K at Texas A&M Invitational, when she ran 22:18.48 before returning two weeks later to set a personal best in the 6,000-meter Santa Clara Bronco Invitational in 21:17.4.
The Cougars also saw junior Jahnavi Schneider pace the squad in the season-opening race at Texas A&M. Running the 4K at the Aggie Opener, Schneider crossed the line in 15:14.9 to finish 13th and help the Cougars to a fourth-place finish overall.
The men have seen four separate student-athletes pace the squad through the team's first four meets, including a trio of freshmen in Nicholas Fernandes, Gabe Armijo and Jemal Wote.
A redshirt freshman, Fernandes kicked off the season with a second-place finish at the Aggie Opener, running the 6K in 18:24.0 in College Station, Texas. Nearly a month later, true freshman Gabe Armijo ran 25:17.18 to finish 20th in Houston's return trip to Aggieland at the Texas A&M Invitational, before Wote capped the regular season by running 25:09.8 to lead the Cougars at the Bronco Invitational.
