Sumling Joins Houston Through Team IMPACT

HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Volleyball team announced the signing of Zamya Sumling on Sunday afternoon in a special ceremony inside Athletics/Alumni Center.
Thirteen-year-old Zamya Sumling, who battles Juvenile Dermatomyositis, a neuromuscular disease, signed a national letter of intent to join the volleyball team.
The program Sumling signed with the Cougars through is Team IMPACT, a nonprofit group aimed at improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses through the power of team.
